Refund Policy

The Secretariat of Inter-Uni MUN 2021 strongly encourages all attendees to have a thorough read through of our refund policy prior to any purchases. 

General

Inter-Uni MUN 2021 will only offer a refund if events are cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated and you cannot attend the event, or, to the extent otherwise required by law. Booking fees will, however, not be refunded in any circumstances. 

Refunds for incorrect purchases or a change in mind of attendance will not be approved. Attendees will also not be applicable for a refund if they fail to show up to scheduled activities and events. Inter-Uni MUN is also not liable for any external purchases, such as travel, accommodation or dietary expenses. 

If you are unable to attend an event due to medical or compassionate needs, you will need to apply for a refund request by emailing the Secretariat at inter.uni.mun@gmail.com. Each circumstance will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. 

Responsibilities of Ticket Holder

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Inter-Uni MUN, be resold or offered for resale at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the ticket holder may be refused admission.

Lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets will only be replaced if the authenticity of the ticket can be verified and if you give reasonable notice before events. Entry to an event may be refused if the authenticity or validity of a ticket is questionable, including because the ticket has been damaged or defaced in any way, or it has not been purchased through an authorised point of sale.

Inter-Uni MUN may limit, suspend or alter the conditions of tickets purchased if attendees are found to be harassing, threatening or abusing any other attendee, including the Secretariat. 

Refund Requests

In the case of a refund request, you will need to submit an individual case by emailing the Secretariat at inter.uni.mun@gmail.com. You must provide the following details:

• Registered full name and email for the ticket purchase,

• Proof of purchase,

• Reason for the request, and

• Any supporting documentation 

Refund Amounts

If your refund request is successful, you will receive a refund amount according to the following conditions:

• More than 30 days prior to the conference (prior to 11 February 2022) - 100% of your ticket will be refunded 

• Less than 30 days but more than 7 days prior to the conference (prior to 11 February 2022) - 70% of your ticket will be refunded

• 7 or less days prior to the conference (prior to 11 February 2022) - 50% of your ticket will be refunded

• During the conference - no refund 

There are of course exceptions where uncontrollable circumstances occur. In such situations, an individual evaluation will occur and the Secretariat will decide whether to refund tickets to the attendee. 

Tickets Purchased Before 4 August 2021

Tickets purchased before the 4th of August 2021 will be carried over to the new scheduled dates. 

A refund exception will be allowed for those who can longer attend the event due to the new dates. If the new dates are unsuitable for you, please submit a refund request and write ‘Refund Request for Ticket Purchased Before 4 Aug 2021’ for a prioritisation of your case. The last day this refund exception term will be accepted is 31 December 2021. There will be no partial refunds for tickets. Once your case has been submitted, you will either receive an email confirming a full refund and cancellation of your ticket or reasons as to why your case was declined. 

Refund Policy Updates

This refund policy is under constant review and will be updated if another COVID-19 outbreak arises, which may cause the further postponement or cancellation of events. Inter-Uni MUN may vary these terms and conditions at any time by updating them.
